Up to 80.0% AFUE
Carrier’s Performance 80 gas furnace is available in two models: 58CTA and 58CTX. These energy-efficient, natural gas-powered units have AFUE levels of 80 percent. The units feature a two-stage gas valve, direct-vent blowers and offers 4-way multi-poise capabilities. The Performance Boost 80 gas furnace line (58SP) offers better quiet levels and comfort features, with an 80% AFUE efficiency rating.

The Performance™ Boost 80 Gas Furnace unit has ComforFan™ Technology For Better Airflow Control (Requires Performance Edge® Relative Humidity Thermostat), Enhances Summer Dehumidification from Air Conditioning System, and has a Multi-Speed Blower Motor.
Carrier® Performance™ Series
Performance™ series furnaces offer that perfect balance between budget limits you may have today and your desire for a better comfort heating solution. As an 80% furnace this model is most suitable for areas with milder winters. You can pair it with a high-efficiency heat pump or air conditioner and gain a cooling efficiency boost from its multi-speed blower. It also features SmartEvap™ technology which periodically stops the fan in “Constant ON” mode to give cooling condensation time to drain away. SmartEvap can reduce summer humidity by up to 10%. And ComfortFan™ technology allows you to choose fan speeds in “Constant ON” mode from a compatible thermostat.
