May 28, 2019 Borderlands 2 General Discussions Topic Details. Mar 21, 2018 @ 1:42pm How to skip cutscenes? Like the beginning ines when u boot the game up as well. Borderlands 2 was an extremely fun game to play with it's own unique twist of humor. Unlike the first Borderlands game this one was full of great cinematic events and amazing voice acting which.

  1. Virtually every gacha game I play on my phone I skip the cutscenes because the writing is usually utterly disposable anime tripe with absolutely no substance, humor or character. Beyond that, I don't skip cutscenes in most games. If a game I'm expected to pay $60 for doesn't have a story interesting enough to keep me engaged I just don't buy it.
  2. Borderlands 2 Fix (BL2Fix) BL2Fix is an overhaul mod that targets the issues with Borderlands 2's loot systems, character progression, pacing, balance and endgame and fixes them by carefully adjusting XP rates, loot drops and item generation. It also features a plethora of quality of life improvements to give you the best Borderlands 2.

While you might start with one Vault Hunter, you'll certainly want to try all of them since each presents wildly different abilities and playstyles. Thing is, there's the opening movie to sit through, then the one after you choose your VH.

While gorgeous and fun and raucous the first time 'round, watching it a second, third, or fourth time quickly becomes a slog, even if the theme song is a good one and the bar fight is pretty badass.

How to Skip the Intro and Splash Screens on PC

Of course, resourceful PC players have a solution for everything. Follow the steps below to get around the pesky opening cinematic:

  1. Go to your game files
  2. Look for Borderlands3/OakGames/Content/Movies
  3. Locate the file called Marcus_Intro
  4. Change the file name (it doesn't matter what it's changed to)
    • However, do not delete the file

If you want to skip the splash screens, too, change the 'LOGO' files found in the same folder. It won't net you any trophies or achievements, but it will help you get into the game even faster.

Borderlands 2 Skip Cutscenes Mod

  1. You can skip character and DLC intro cutscenes in the game with a simple modification to a configuration file. This can only effect cutscenes that are played from video files and not rendered in game like boss intros or other in-game events. This is not as brute force as bForceNoMovies=TRUE that has undesired effects. The configuration files are defaultly located at: My DocumentsMy GamesBorderlands 2WillowGameConfig
  2. Open WillowEngine.ini and place these lines under the [FullScreenMovie] section:
  3. SkippableMovies=TC_Scooter
  4. SkippableMovies=TC_Zed
  5. SkippableMovies=Orchid_Intro
  6. SkippableMovies=Sage_Intro
  7. SkippableMovies=Aster_Outro
  8. This is an example of what the [FullScreenMovie] section would look like with them added, in addition to commenting out StartUpMovies to speed up game launching:
  9. [FullScreenMovie]
  10. #StartupMovies=2K_logo
  11. #StartupMovies=NVidia
  12. SkippableMovies=2K_logo
  13. SkippableMovies=NVidia
  14. SkippableMovies=MegaIntro
  15. SkippableMovies=TC_Marcus
  16. SkippableMovies=TC_Tannis
  17. SkippableMovies=Iris_Intro
  18. SkippableMovies=Aster_Intro
  19. ConfirmSkipMovies=MegaIntro
  20. BinkSkipDelay=0.5
  21. BinkSkipTextY=0.8
  22. Also, if you don't want to accidentally skip a cutscene, add in a line of ConfirmSkipMovies= for whatever cutscene you want the 'Press Escape to skip' to appear at the top of the screen. Example of making Tina's DLC Outro to have a confirm skip message:
  23. ConfirmSkipMovies=Aster_Outro
  24. Similarly, to get rid of the confirm skip on the new game cutscene, comment out this line:
  25. (normal)
  26. #ConfirmSkipMovies=MegaIntro
  27. As far as comments go in the configuration files there is no actual defined character for comments. Any special character will make the game ignore that line as far as I know. A space or deleting lines may work as well, but commenting them out makes it easier to remember what you changed and to revert changes.
  28. Bonus info, these are the code names for the DLCs:
  29. Iris = Torgue DLC
  30. Aster = Tina DLC
